Everything You Need to Know About Receiving Your Bamboo Bedding

At Bamboo Haven, we want your premium bamboo bedding to arrive quickly, safely, and in perfect condition. We work with trusted UK delivery partners to ensure your order — whether it’s a 300 thread count duvet cover, a set of XL pillowcases, or a complete bamboo bedding set — reaches you with the care it deserves.

1. Order Processing and Despatch

1.1 Processing Times

Once your order is confirmed, our team begins processing it promptly. Orders placed before 2:00pm GMT on a working day (Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays) are typically processed the same day. Orders placed after this cut-off, or over the weekend, will be processed on the next working day.

Our standard despatch timeframe is 1–3 working days from the date of your order confirmation. During peak periods — such as seasonal sales, new product launches, or public holidays — despatch may take up to 5 working days. We will notify you by email if your despatch is delayed.

1.2 Despatch Confirmation

When your bamboo bedding order has been despatched, you will receive an automated despatch confirmation email to the address provided at checkout. This email will include:

        Your order number and a summary of the items despatched

        The name of the delivery carrier handling your order

        A tracking number and link where available

        The estimated delivery date based on your chosen delivery option

 

Please check your junk or spam folder if you do not receive your despatch email. If you have not received a despatch notification within 5 working days of placing your order, please contact us at hello@bamboohaven.co.uk.

All delivery timeframes are estimated from the date of despatch, not the date of order. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays.

 

2.1 Free UK Delivery

We offer free standard UK delivery on all orders over £50. This threshold applies to the order subtotal after any discount codes have been applied, before delivery charges are added. Free delivery is applied automatically at checkout when the qualifying threshold is reached.

2.2 Remote and Rural Areas

Deliveries to certain remote or rural areas of the United Kingdom — including the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight, and the Channel Islands — may be subject to extended delivery timeframes and, in some cases, additional delivery charges. Any applicable surcharges will be clearly displayed at checkout before you complete your order.

2.3 BFPO Addresses

We are currently unable to deliver to British Forces Post Office (BFPO) addresses. If you have a specific delivery requirement, please contact us at hello@bamboohaven.co.uk before placing your order and we will do our best to assist.

 

 

3. International Shipping

Bamboo Haven ships to a growing number of countries outside the United Kingdom. International shipping is available for our full bamboo bedding range, including duvet covers, fitted sheets, pillowcases, duvets, pillows, comforters, and complete bedding sets.

3.1 Available Destinations

A full list of countries we currently ship to is displayed at checkout. If your country is not listed, please contact us at hello@bamboohaven.co.uk — we will let you know whether international shipping to your location is possible and provide a quote.

3.2 International Delivery Timeframes and Costs

International delivery timeframes and costs vary by destination and are calculated automatically at checkout based on your delivery address and the weight and dimensions of your order. You will see the available options and their costs before you complete your purchase.

As a general guide:

        Europe: 5–10 working days from despatch

        USA, Canada, and Australia: 7–14 working days from despatch

        Rest of World: 10–21 working days from despatch

 

International delivery timeframes are estimates and may be affected by customs clearance, local postal conditions, or events outside our control. Bamboo Haven is not responsible for delays caused by customs processing in the destination country.

3.3 Customs Duties and Import Taxes

All international orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, or handling fees levied by the destination country’s customs authority. These charges are entirely the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in our product prices or delivery charges.

We are unable to predict or advise on the exact customs duties applicable in your country. We recommend checking with your local customs authority before placing an international order if you are concerned about additional charges. Bamboo Haven is not liable for any delays, costs, or confiscation of goods arising from customs clearance.

3.4 International Order Tracking

Tracking is provided for all international shipments. Your tracking number will be included in your despatch confirmation email. Please note that tracking updates may be limited once your parcel leaves the UK postal network and enters the destination country’s system.

 

 

4. Tracking Your Order

All Bamboo Haven orders include tracking as standard. Once your bamboo bedding has been despatched, you will receive a despatch confirmation email containing your tracking number and a direct link to your carrier’s tracking portal.

To track your order:

        Click the tracking link in your despatch confirmation email

        Enter your tracking number on the carrier’s website

        Log in to your Bamboo Haven account (if registered) to view live order status

 

Tracking information may take up to 24 hours to update after despatch, particularly for next-day or weekend deliveries. If your tracking information has not updated after 48 hours, please contact us at hello@bamboohaven.co.uk with your order number.

 

 

5. Delivery Attempts and Failed Deliveries

5.1 Delivery Attempts

Our carrier partners will typically make up to two delivery attempts if no one is available to receive your parcel. After the first failed attempt, a card will usually be left at your address (or a notification sent to your email or mobile) with instructions on how to:

        Rebook delivery for a more convenient date

        Collect your parcel from a local depot or designated parcel collection point

        Authorise a safe place or neighbour delivery

 

5.2 Uncollected Parcels

If your parcel is held at a depot or collection point and is not collected within the carrier’s holding period (typically 5–10 working days), it will be returned to Bamboo Haven. In this case, we will contact you by email to arrange redelivery. Please note that a redelivery charge may apply.

5.3 Returned Parcels

If a parcel is returned to us due to failed delivery attempts or an incorrect address provided at checkout, we will contact you within 5 working days of receiving the return. We will offer to reship your order (redelivery charges may apply) or issue a refund of the product price, minus the original outbound delivery cost and any return-to-sender fees incurred.

5.4 Incorrect Delivery Addresses

Please ensure your delivery address is complete and accurate at the time of checkout. Bamboo Haven is unable to accept liability for delays or non-delivery resulting from an incorrect address provided by the customer. If you notice an address error after placing your order, please contact us immediately at hello@bamboohaven.co.uk. We will do our best to correct the address before despatch, but we cannot guarantee amendments once an order has been processed.

 

 

6. Delivery Issues: What to Do

6.1 Order Not Arrived

If your order has not arrived within 2 working days of the estimated delivery date, please contact us at info@bamboohaven.co.uk with your order number. We will raise an investigation with our delivery partner. Most delivery queries are resolved within 3–5 working days.

Please note: during peak periods, deliveries may occasionally take slightly longer than the estimated timeframe. We ask that you allow an additional 3 working days beyond the estimated date before contacting us for standard UK deliveries, and 7 additional days for international orders.

6.2 Damaged in Transit

If your bamboo bedding arrives damaged, please:

        Photograph the outer packaging and the damaged item before use

        Contact us within 48 hours of delivery at hello@bamboohaven.co.uk

        Include your order number and photographs in your email

 

We will arrange a replacement or full refund as quickly as possible. If you are asked to return the damaged item, we will cover all associated return postage costs.

6.3 Missing Items

If your order arrives with items missing, please check your despatch confirmation email first. Bamboo Haven occasionally ships items from different locations, meaning your order may arrive in separate parcels on different days. If all expected parcels have arrived and items are still missing, please contact us at hello@bamboohaven.co.uk within 14 days of your most recent delivery.

6.4 Wrong Item Received

If you receive an item that does not match your order, please contact us at hello@bamboohaven.co.uk within 14 days of delivery. Please include your order number and a photograph of the item received. We will arrange for the correct item to be sent to you and will cover all return postage costs for the incorrectly sent item.

 

 

7. Packaging and Sustainability

At Bamboo Haven, our commitment to sustainability does not stop with the bedding. We take care to package every order thoughtfully — protecting your bamboo viscose products during transit while minimising unnecessary waste.

        All outer packaging is made from recyclable or recycled materials

        We avoid single-use plastic wherever possible and use paper-based void fill and tape

        Product packaging is designed to be reusable — many customers repurpose our packaging for storage

        We are continuously reviewing our packaging choices to reduce our environmental footprint

8. Peak Periods and Service Disruptions

During periods of high demand — including seasonal sales, new collection launches, and major holidays such as Christmas, Black Friday, and Valentine’s Day — despatch and delivery times may be extended. We will always communicate expected delays clearly on our website and via email where possible.

Delivery services may also be affected by circumstances outside our control, including severe weather, industrial action by postal or courier services, national emergencies, or other force majeure events. Bamboo Haven will not be held liable for delays caused by such circumstances, but we will work with our carrier partners to resolve issues as quickly as possible and will keep you informed throughout.

 

 

9. Delivery and Your Consumer Rights

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have statutory rights in relation to the delivery of goods purchased online.

If Bamboo Haven fails to deliver your order within an agreed timeframe or within a reasonable period, you have the right to:

        Set a new, reasonable delivery deadline and require us to meet it

        Cancel your order and receive a full refund if delivery is not made within the new deadline, or if the circumstances make it clear that delivery will not happen

 

These rights are in addition to — and not affected by — this Shipping & Delivery Policy. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can seek advice from Citizens Advice at www.citizensadvice.org.uk or call the consumer helpline on 0808 223 1133.
